When Are the PTO Meetings? Typically, our meetings are held in the Later Elementary library at 6:30 pm on the third Tuesday of each month. Any date and/or time changes to this meeting schedule will be communicated in advance. Our meetings are very informal and are open to all parents and teachers of PPLE students. You do not need to be a board member or serve on a committee to participate in the PTO. Childcare is provided at all meetings.
How Long Do PTO Meetings Last? Typically, our meets last about one hour.
What Can I Do? That’s up to YOU! You can attend the monthly meetings, serve on a committee, and/or volunteer at a PTO-sponsored event—Whatever fits best with YOUR schedule. As a completely volunteer organization, we can never have too many helpers or too many new ideas.
What Events Need My Help? Each year, the PTO sponsors a number of events for our children. Volunteer Sign-Up Sheets are sent home periodically during the school year and are also available online.
Do I Have to Volunteer at Every Event? NO! Even a superhero would have a hard time pulling that off. Any time you can give to benefit our students and school is valuable and always appreciated.
What Are the Benefits to My Child? There can’t be a Parent Teacher Organization without PARENTS. It is YOUR feedback, fresh ideas, and suggestions that enable our organization to grow and continue to bring great educational, fun events to our children.
