The procedures for Paw Paw Public Schools closing when hazardous weather conditions occur are as follows:
Any decision to call off classes before school opens is normally done by 6:00 a.m. An announcement of any school closing will be carried on as many radio/TV stations as can be contacted. A listing of those that may be contacted are as follows:
WWMT Channel 3 WOOD TV Channel 8 WOTV Channel 41 WCSY 940 AM and 98.3 FM WKZO 590 AM WQLR 106.5 FM WKMI 1360 AM WKFR 103.3 FM WRKR 107.7 FM
Try several of the stations as it, sometimes, isn't possible to make contact with all stations. Please DO NOT call the school.
If hazardous conditions occur during the school day after 9:00 a.m. and before 11:15 a.m., a decision may be made to dismiss school early. Grades 6 - 12 will be dismissed first and an hour and a half later grades K - 5 will be dismissed. This announcement should also be available on the contacted radio/TV stations.
If dismissal is made after 12:45 p.m. and before 2:00 p.m., grades 6 - 12 will be dismissed first. An hour and a half later grades K - 5 will be dismissed.
