Dear High School Parents, The staff at Paw Paw High School is looking forward to the opportunity to meet with parents and students during our Open House that is scheduled for Monday, August 23 from 6:00- 7:30 pm. Because all of our students and their parents are invited to Open House, we have put some guidelines in place to help us maintain a safe environment for all. Please be aware of the following: 1. As much as possible, all families are asked to limit those attending the High School Open House to the child attending Paw Paw High School and his/her parents or guardians. 2. All those attending the Open House are highly encouraged to wear a mask while inside the school buildings. 3. Families are asked to attend the Open House during the time slots indicated below. We understand that this schedule may not work for everyone and welcome students and parents to attend at alternate times if necessary. We’ve had some questions about a supply list. Because class needs vary greatly depending on a student’s schedule, we don’t have a standard supply list. What we can recommend to start the year is: A folder and notebook for each class (5) A box of pencils A few pens (blue or black, preferable) Optional- Calculator Index cards Highlighter Sticky notes In addition, a personal hand sanitizer is a good idea. Teachers will let you know about class specific needs at open house.

We’ve had a few questions come in about schedules. When Powerschool “rolled over” to the new school year, the schedules that were briefly visible were based on an incorrect master schedule. That is why we have turned that view back off- it was inaccurate. Counselors are working on schedules over the next couple weeks and they will be available online soon- we’ll be sure to announce it. Printed schedules will also be available at Open House on August 23. Thanks for your patience.

Attention New Enrollment Day: If you are new to Paw Paw Public Schools and have a student going into 9th-12th grade, please contact 269-415-5600 ASAP to complete your enrollment packet and schedule an appointment with a counselor on August 11th.

We begin our summer hours next week! Beginning Monday, the HS office will be open 8:00am - 12:00pm on Tuesday and Thursday. Other times are available by appointment. Summer hours last through August 13.

Today the 2021 Summer Learning Experience kicked into gear, with more than 400 students participating in six programs, and all K-5 students enrolled in a summer reading program. It was a great, fun day of learning, including the Outdoor Education experience at the Later Elementary where students explored "what's living on campus", and in Project Elevate at PPHS where students planted seeds of vegetables, herbs, flowers, and ideas, and at the Theater Program (Summer with Shakespeare" where kids started looking at scripts for scenes from Shakespeare they'll put on stage in the weeks to come.
