United with our community in support of the family of Lt. Ethan Quillen, it was an honor to host his memorial service and see such an outpouring of support at Paw Paw High School on Saturday. #Hero #UltimateSacrifice #buildtogetherpawpaw
Today and tomorrow across Michigan and Paw Paw, including Paw Paw Public Schools, flags will be lowered to half-staff to honor two Michigan firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty. On Friday, March 3, flags are lowered in honor of Ricky Hill, and Saturday, March 4, flags are lowered in honor of Paw Paw Firefighter Lt. Ethan Quillen.
Today Paw Paw Later Elementary students who also participate in cub scouts and girl scouts joined Principal Davison outside for morning announcements. For "Words of Wisdom" today, Principal Davison shared the press release about Lt. Quillen from Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, then the scouts lowered flag to half-staff per orders and led the school in the pledge of allegiance. All students were asked to pause and reflect tomorrow if they se a flag at half staff and thank Lt. Quillen for the sacrifice he made for all of us in the service of our community.

Good Evening Paw Paw Families,
Paw Paw Schools will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, February 23.
PPPS will exercise an abundance of caution today, Wednesday, February 22, closing buildings for any and all school and community activities and events, including practices. Maintenance and facility crews are adjusting for weather and will treat as possible, but will likely not be able to keep up with the ice accumulation that is forecast, so campus roads, sidewalks, and lots may be icy until treated. All Red Wolves are asked to exercise caution and common sense, to stay safe today, watch the weather, and stay tuned for any updates.
Good Evening Paw Paw Families,
Paw Paw Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 22. Our current weather forecast predicts an ice storm tomorrow afternoon. While we can't be certain that the forecast will pan out, we are going to err on the side of caution in order to avoid the possibility of having to transport students home tomorrow in treacherous driving conditions. Please stay safe.
Tomorrow is Bus Driver Appreciation Day! Make sure to thank our dedicated drivers for all they do to get students to and from school safely every day. #BuildTogetherPawPaw
The senior citizen luncheon scheduled for Friday, February 17 has been rescheduled to March 3 due to icy road conditions.
Hey, Red Wolves: there will be no school tomorrow, Friday, February 17, due to icy roads. Stay safe tomorrow, and remember it's probably best if you take some time to do a little reading, too!
March is Reading Month and we traditionally sell shirts to advertise the theme for staff and students to wear each week as part of the reading month activities. This year we are expecting our students to "Sink their teeth into a good book." Forms were sent home last week, but there is still time to turn in orders on Tuesday when school resumes. Orders must be received by end of day on Tuesday, February 13th.
2nd/3rd Grade Tennis Clinic starting on February 20th
Dr. Fossitt came to give Mrs. French’s and Ms. Sadowski’s classes a preview into next week’s Mystery Science Lesson: How do animals see in the Dark? She also talked about how different animals have different eye placements and fields of vision depending if they are carnivores or herbivores.
Thank you Paw Paw Elementary PTO for hosting a very fun event on Thursday night. There were close to 200 people that attended our 2nd annual quarter auction!
Paw Paw area senior citizens are invited to join us for tomorrow's Senior Citizens' Luncheon at Paw Paw High School!
