3280 meals were provided to students today by our PPPS food service department! Thank you to all of our food service workers who contributed and made this happen, and thank you to the volunteers who helped out with traffic flow, distribution, and delivery. It takes a village!
Teachers in grades K-5 were able to provide three weeks of activities for students in the first packet
pickup today (March 18) SO THERE IS NO NEED for another pickup between now and the beginning of
Spring Break on April 6.

Paw Paw Schools will be closed today, Friday, March 13 as a precautionary measure. Superintendent Reo received information late last night (3/12/2020) stating that a Paw Paw student was recently in contact with someone who is now being tested for the Coronavirus and is awaiting the results. Reo wants to emphasize that there is a high likelihood that the illness is something other than the Coronavirus. But, PPPS decided to err on the side of safety and exercise extreme caution by closing schools today.
More detailed information will be sent out to families and staff via email and a School Messenger phone call later this afternoon.

Teachers at Paw Paw Early Elementary dug into data on the teaching of reading across their school at a recent staff meeting, then collaborated on the best strategies for teaching, aka "the gold standard" of instruction that all children deserve in their classrooms every day.
The HS English team dug into student performance data during a PLC session to look at trends and opportunities for improving scores on upcoming PSAT and SAT tests for students in grades 9-11. These teachers know when data informs teaching practice, student success comes next.

The Paw Paw Performing Arts Center was alive with color and sound during the fabulous production of "Seussical The Musical". Great performances, costumes, sets, lights, and even a flying Cat in the Hat: when it comes to outstanding student theater, PPPS is as good as it gets.

Representatives from Paw Paw schools and the community are working together to create a 5-year Strategic Plan that will build on both the assets and aspirations people have for the District and priorities for the next five years of growth and development.
