Join us on Thursday for the grand reveal celebration of our new community mural!
In partnership with the Saugatuck Center for the Arts, students attending summer school were led through 8 exciting sessions collaborating with a professional artist to paint a meaningful multi-panel mural design for their community.
August 3, 11-11:30 am behind the Middle School
During the celebration, attendees will have the chance to browse student artwork, hear students share their artists' statements, and meet Paloma Núñez-Reguerio.
Refreshments and cookies are provided.
Wednesday, Aug, 2nd the students from the Middle School summer learning program would like to invite community members and students to help contribute to our new mural project by joining to paint from 1-3 pm.
The mural painting session will be behind the Paw Paw Middle School, near the entrance to the District-wide Garage Sale taking place in the MS gym.
Paw Paw Public Schools in partnership with Saugatuck Center for the Arts will provide all necessary materials and guidance for all painters. Painters should wear clothes for painting.
When completed, the finished mural will be installed outside PPMS (facing the bus drop off and pick up loop behind the school.) We're hoping the final mural will have the contributions of many different students and community members so it is a true community art project when finished.
This will be the final painting session as the finished product will be attached to the building for all to enjoy with a dedication on Thursday @ 10:45am.
You won't want to miss the PPPS Districtwide Garage Sale this Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Paw Paw Middle School! Surplus school equipment, supplies, furnishings, and more items added daily from all five schools will be in one location and priced to sell. No early sales. Park and enter through the middle school's south entrance at 313 West Michigan Avenue.
Even though summer is in full swing, it's not too late to register your 5 to 12-year-old child for a fun-filled, educational summer camp experience at PPPS Summer Camp!
