Paw Paw Performing Arts Department

Each year Paw Paw High School, Paw Paw Middle School, and Paw Paw Later Elementary provide numerous opportunities for students to participate in the world of performing arts. Our performing arts department produces six major stage productions and multiple band and choir events yearly.

The Later Elementary Musical is produced and performed at the Later Elementary campus every fall. This is the first chance our students have to dive into the world of theatre and musicals.

The Rising Stars Talent Show is produced by the high school choir department and is a great opportunity for students to show off their various talents. Vocal performance, dance, skits- these are just a few examples of what our students bring to the stage.

The High School Play is produced every fall. Past productions include: A Midsummer Night's Dream, Dracula, Treasure Island, Promedy, The Tempest, and Alice in Wonderland. Auditions are held very early on in the school year and are open to all high school students. If you've never performed on stage before, no problem That doesn’t mean that you are not qualified. We can provide the basic training necessary for students to be on stage.

February brings the annual High School Musical. Past productions include: Footloose, Catch Me If You Can, Seussical, The Addams Family, and Fiddler on the Roof. The musical presents a great opportunity for students to learn the “triple threat” of singing, dancing, and acting all at once. In addition to the on stage talent, our musicals also require a student orchestra. Auditions are usually held in late November so be sure to look for information in the fall.

The Annual PAC-1-ACT Festival features student-directed oneact plays every April. Juniors and Seniors can apply to select, plan, and direct their own play. Student directors learn every aspect of the directing process and go through the entire production from beginning to end.

In April, the Middle School Musical is presented. Previous productions include: Finding Nemo Jr., Shrek Jr., Dear Edwina Jr., and Music Man Jr. Open to all Paw Paw Middle School students, this production brings younger performers onto the larger PAC stage for their first production.
